Working with me

Originally a scientist by trade, my approach to training is science-based and highly personalised – none of my clients has exactly the same plan because we all have different physiology, different goals and different life situations.
Step 1
First Consultation
We start our journey with a 90 minute face-to-face or virtual face-to face consultation. The purposes of this session are to explore your goals and potential barriers to those goals, to assess your movement, mobility, strength, conditioning and overall fitness, for you to see how I work and to have a fun session where you learn something new.

Developing technique
The next step is to develop your technical skill in a number of fundamental strength & conditioning exercises. If you're a beginner this involves learning the foundations of best technique from scratch. If you already have some experience, we use these sessions to refine your technique so that you have the best platform to train hard, effectively and safely from here onwards.

Start a monthly training programme
This is where the hard work starts! I offer a range of completely individualised monthly training programmes that combine face-to-face and online approaches, according to your needs month-to-month. Although the programmes are delivered monthly, they are designed around your long-term goals.

Revise your training programme
Each month we review the previous training block and revise the next one, according to your targets, progress, time available and budget. Consistency and progression are absolutely key to making lasting and sustainable improvements in your strength and fitness.

Training Consultation

For people who want to self-coach, or who perhaps don’t want to commit to a subscription just yet. This involves a thorough review of your training and lifting technique, and provides a report containing recommendations for you to take away and implement.
